Do you have a pile of miscellaneous coupons, like a Duracell coupon, that you just don’t know where to file? Some coupons are great to have, but they don’t fall in to a category that you have in your box. The coupons aren’t very regular, so you don’t want to create a tab for them, but maybe you should. Is there a right or a wrong way to sort coupons in your coupon box each week?
The short answer is no. If you have a method for filing battery coupons and grocery coupons that works for you, then keep at it. But if you don’t have a method that works well for you, what do you do? Luckily there are a few easy ways to file coupons so they aren’t wasted before you can use them. Battery coupons are pretty valuable, so if they don’t get used it is like throwing money in the trash can!
Place the Duracell Coupon in a Category
The worst thing to do with Duracell coupons is to leave them in a miscellaneous category folder. Everything from restaurant coupons to clothing coupons can be put inside that you might use in the future. Since you don’t sort through that section often, the battery coupons might be forgotten if you don’t have a need for them right away. The same goes for other coupons in the miscellaneous tab – it might be forgotten about if you don’t search it often, so place it where it will be seen often until you use it.
Sort a Duracell Coupon by Date
The best way to use coupons before they expire is to sort them by the date too. If you have an electronics or a battery category, place the newest coupons in the back. That way, the ones close to expiring are placed in the front. When you need to grab a coupon, you know that by grabbing the one in the front, you have gotten the one closest to expiring. There is no need to sort through the whole pile to find one. The Duracell coupon in your hand will be the one to use before it expires and gets wasted.
